Golf-log ("we") is a golf practice log. This page explains what personal data we handle on golf-log.com (the website) and app.golf-log.com (the app), and why.
The website (golf-log.com)
- Early-access list. If you submit your email address, we store it, with the date, so we can tell you when access opens. The legal basis is your consent; you can withdraw it at any time.
- The website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure which parts of the page are useful, but only if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner; until then nothing from Google is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Separately, when you click a main call-to-action or the “Open app” link, we record an anonymous counter event (which button, and the time) in our own database, with no email address, IP address or other identifier. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
The app (app.golf-log.com)
- Account data: your name, email address and sign-in method (email/password, or Google sign-in).
- Practice data: the sessions, drills, settings and notes you record. These are stored against your account.
- Notifications: if you enable reminders, we store a push-notification token for your device.
- Optional features: weather uses a location you choose (sent to Open-Meteo); videos you add are embedded from YouTube; the Ask Coach beta, where enabled, sends a plain-text summary of your practice history to Google Vertex AI without your name or email.
Who processes data
We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting, cloud functions) as our processor. Data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure. We do not sell personal data.
Retention and your rights
We keep your data while your account or waitlist entry exists. You may ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its processing, by emailing hello@golf-log.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above.
